We have made it to the finals in the About Walking Reader's Choice Awards in the Walker Friendly Half Marathon category.  Our race has it all: the atmosphere, the organization, the competition, the location, the cause.... need I say more..... and we need your vote to spread the word.  Help to put us on the map as the most walker friendly Half Marathon event in North America.  Between now and March 21 you can vote every day to keep us ahead of the four other finalists.

Thanks to the Ontario Pre-Service Firefighter Program from Connestoga College our event will be much safer and more efficiently supported out on the race course this year.  The students of the program have volunteered their time and expertise to be Race Marshals and to assist with set up on the Public Square this Sunday.  Their support is greatly appreciated.

Our hats off to Susan and David Lewis and all the organizers for a great race with some very snazzy t-shirts and medals. The sky was blue, the temperature was just right, and despite a challenging, hilly course the Shore Things piled up milestones and personal bests at the KW Walking Classic 10K and very first half marathon.
